19 researches and developments within SSSTI held in first six months of 2018

19 researches and developments and 115 scientific and scientific-practical events were held within the State System of Scientific-Technical Information in January-June of 2018. This was announced at the opening of the international conference “Development of Informatization and State System of Scientific-Technical Information (DISTI 2018) by Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus today. According to him, the SSSTI is one of the important components of the Belarusian national innovation system and includes 17 state organizations and 6 areas. He also noted that Belarus is one of the first countries among the CIS member states, which approved the State Program of Development of Digital Economy and Information Society for 2016-2020 at the legislation level.

The projects “Creation of the Belarusian Integrated Service-Calculation System”, “National Systems of Non-Paper Trade” (NSNT), as well as the project “National Portal of Open Data”, can be marked out among the most important projects implemented within this program. ‘Belarus is a country with the most dynamic development of telecommunication technologies. It is on the 32nd place in the world rating,’ Alexander Shumilin stressed.
