Session of Council of Ministers of Union State held in Moscow

The session of the Council of Ministers of the Union State is held in Moscow. The agenda includes 14 issues, including the ones concerning the work of the Commission on Formation of the Common Scientific-Technological space. The first session of the Commission on Formation of the Common Scientific-Technological Space was held in Minsk in November 2017. At present, the plan of the work has been prepared, the branch subcommissions have been formed and the criteria for the definition of the degree of the concepts of scientific-technical programs of the Union State have been developed (for the upgrade of their technical level, quality and competitiveness). The next session of the Commission is going to be held in Moscow in late June.

   In general, according to Alexander Shumilin, the implementation of joint scientific-technological and innovation programs and projects is one of the basic components of the algorithm of actions for the formation and the functioning of the common scientific-technological space of the Union State. ‘More than 50 scientific-technical programs have been implemented since the moment of the formation of the programs of the Union State. In 2017 8 scientific-technical programs of the Union State were implemented, including three new ones. At present, 25 programs of the Union State are at the stage of the coordination of concept drafts,’ he stressed.

 

Reference: the program “Spinal Systems” will enable to improve the results of the medical rehabilitation of children with hard innate deformations and lesions of the spine, reduce the expenses for the treatment of them by 3-4 times and the periods of the hospital treatment by 1.5-2 times at the expense of the early activation of patients. The result of the program “Development of the System of Hydro and Meteorological Safety of the Union State” will be a development of the own software product of numerical models of weather broadcasting (it is aimed at the reduction of the import and consolidation of the independence of hydro and meteorological services of Belarus and Russia). The program “DNA Identification” will enable to create modern DNA technologies and methods in criminalistics enabling to upgrade the prevention and percentage of terroristic cases and hard serial criminal ones solved. The scientific-technical program “Mixed Fodder of the US” will reduce by 1.5-2 times the cost of fodder (that is, the cost of the finished products of husbandry farms will be reduced).

   The issue of the establishment of the prize of the Union State in science and technology is expected to be considered at the session of the Council of Ministers of the Union State. At present the draft Regulations on the Prize have been coordinated with the Belarusian party with all of the interested and are sent to be coordinated with the Russian party. The decision on reasonability of the taken measures will be made at the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
