94 projects carried out as part of the State Program for Innovative Development from January till September 2019

In January - September 2019, within thу State Program for Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020, 94 projects were carried out, including 18 projects under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, 11 projects of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 10 projects of the Bellegprom concern, and 5 projects of the Ministry of Education. This was announced today by Andrei Kosovsky, First Deputy Chairman of the SCST, at the board of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus. According to him, 121 projects for the formation of new industries, which are crucial for the innovative development of the country, are included in the State Program of State Inspection, of which 45 projects are based on technologies of V-VI technological modes. The implementation of 27 state program projects was completed in 2016-2018.

In the reporting period, 11 projects commissioned and reached their design capacity. Among the most significant are the creation of a range of general industrial and food 3D printers (State Enterprise “Science and Technology Park BNTU Polytechnic”), the organization of a high-tech export-oriented production of optical components and laser systems with diode pumping of a new generation (GNU “B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics"), the development of the technology for the production of import-replacing cardboard-lock-seam containers for the textile industry (OJSC "Polesie"), the organization of production for the industrial processing of glass (OJSC "Gomelsteklo"), etc.

At the same time, over the nine months of this year, the planned commissioning of facilities for 6 projects was not ensured (Brest Region Executive Committee - 2, Vitebsk Region Executive Committee - 1, Minsk Region Executive Committee - 2, Mogilev Region Executive Committee - 1) and there was a lag behind the schedules for commissioning operation of facilities and production output at design capacity. For each such project, the heads of enterprises were heard and additional measures were taken to eliminate the backlogs.

During the meeting, board members also examined the activities of innovation infrastructure entities and, by a common decision, extended the validity of registration as a subject of innovation infrastructure of Gomel Technopark OJSC, UE Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University (activities of the separate unit “Center for Transfer of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technologies ”), RUE “Grodno Center for Scientific, Technical and Business Information”, RUE “Scientific and Analytical Information, Innovation and Technology Transfer Center".

Following the results of January-August 2019, the value of the indicator “the share of the export of high-tech products in the total volume of Belarusian exports” amounted to 35.9 percent, which is 3.4 percentage points higher than the plan for 2019 (32.5 percent). The number of created (modernized) jobs in the framework of the implementation of the State Program for Innovative Development in January-June 2019 amounted to 1219 (the plan for 2019 was 1821 jobs).
