Alexander Shumilin familiarized himself with implementation of innovative project at OJSC “Belshina”

Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, visited the JSC “Belshina” within the monitoring of projects of the State Innovative Development Program of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020. A production of large-sized overall tires with a bore diameter of 63 inches, which is new for our country, was started there. Currently, experts are holding field tests of all-steel cord tires in open pits of the mining industry, including in Russia, Serbia, Kazakhstan and Australia. ‘The production of super large-sized solid steel cord tires of radial design for a packaging arrangement of especially heavy-duty trucks manufactured by the JSC “BelAZ”, as well as for foreign-made mining equipment, such as Komatsu and Caterpiller will enable to maintain and improve the competitive position of the enterprise in the domestic and foreign markets and increase  the export potential,’ Alexander Shumilin said.

He also noted that the company is working on the production of radial tires with a bore diameter of 49" and 51" with a flat assembly method. Currently, the OJSC “Belshina” has 3 assembly machines for assembling tires in a layerwise way. To master the production of new models of solid steel tires and the organization of mass production, four molds were purchased. The implementation period of this project is until 2023.

During the visit to Bobruisk, Alexander Shumilin took part in a meeting of the city executive committee and held a personal reception for citizens.

Vladimir Avchinnik, Director of UE “Universal Bobruisk” with an innovative project for the production of the 2nd and the 4th class mirrors on one holder for the KAMAZ family of cars with Euro-5 cab was among those who signed up for the meeting. These mirrors have an electric drive, with the help of which the case with the mirror plate is rotated in two planes relative to the holder, and they are controlled from the driver's cabin. It should be noted that such mirrors are not produced in Belarus. At present, the necessary technological equipment is being manufactured and the issues of supplying products to Belarusian enterprises, including the Minsk Automobile Plant, Minsk Tractor Plant and the CJSC “BelG” are being worked out.
