Belarus and Kaluga Region to prepare a cooperation program until 2023

Belarus and Kaluga region of Russia will prepare a new cooperation program for 2021–2023. This decision was made following the results of the fourth meeting of the working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Kaluga region under the leadership of Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the SCST and Dmitry Denisov, First Deputy Governor of Kaluga Region.

It should be noted that the scientific and technical cooperation of Belarus with the Kaluga region is carried out as part of the implementation of joint projects with Obninsk scientific organizations in the field of training highly qualified personnel for nuclear energy, as well as as part of the implementation of joint inter-academic programs for the exchange of experience, seismic and geophysical data. As for economic cooperation, in the first half of 2019, bilateral trade amounted to $ 295.4 million (108.8% compared to the same period in 2018).

As part of the fourth meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Kaluga region of Russia, the fair “Week of the Republic of Belarus in Kaluga” is being held. It is attended by over 25 leading Belarusian manufacturing enterprises from all regions of the country. There are lots of products presented for guests and citizens by Belarusian manufacterers, such as Kupalinka OJSC, Svitanok OJSC, Belita JV LLC, Viteks CJSC, Grodno Meat Processing Plant OJSC, Babushkina Krynka OJSC, Kommunarka OJSC, Spartak OJSC JV, JSC Krasny Pishchevik, exposition of road equipment of JSC MAZ, etc.
