Belarus and Serbia discuss prospects for scientific and technical cooperation

Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, and Velko Kovachevich, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, discussed the prospects for the bilateral scientific, technical and innovative cooperation, including in the field of information and communication technologies, health, microelectronics and robotics. The organization of a visit of Nenad Popovich, Minister of the Government of Serbia on innovation and technological development, to Minsk, and the signing of an interdepartmental memorandum of cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.

The cooperation between Belarus and Serbia is carried out within the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on scientific and technical cooperation of March 6, 1996. At present, the sides are implementing ten joint scientific and technical projects, which were approved at the meeting of the joint Belarusian-Serbian commission on scientific and technical cooperation.
