Belarus and Slovakia to fulfil four joint R&D projects in nano- and biotechnologies

Belarus and Slovakia are planning to increase cooperation in science, technology and innovation areas by fulfilling four joint projects in the field of nano- and biotechnologies. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Shcherbakov and State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic, Olga Nakhtmannova agreed to that during their meeting. The parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of agriculture, medicine and medical technology, pharmacy, and new materials.

“The contacts between scientists and specialists from Belarus and Slovakia developing every year. That contributes to deepening of cooperation between the two countries in science, technology and innovation areas,” Sergey Shcherbakov said.

Scientific and technical cooperation between Belarus and Slovakia is achieved in accordance with the agreement of April 27, 2017. The first meeting of the Belarusian-Slovak commission for cooperation in science and technology was held in Minsk on September 25, 2018.
