Issues of expanding the List of high-tech goods of the Republic of Belarus considered at the Public Advisory Council session under the SCST

The proposals prepared for inclusion in the draft resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus "On amendments and additions to the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 574 of June 23, 2012” were considered and approved during the session of the Public Advisory Council on the development of entrepreneurship in the science, technology and innovation spheres under the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus.

9 additional codes of the single Commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Eurasian Economic Union are proposed to be included in the current list of high-tech products. All included commodity items relate to the production of technological structures V and VI: electric transport and charging devices for it, medical laser equipment, hormones, etc.

Expanding the List of high-tech goods is caused by including electric transport and its infrastructure in the list of high-tech areas established by the State Program of Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2016–2020.

Furthermore, in 2017-2018 the international methodology for assessing the level of manufacturability of goods was changed. Corresponding changes have already been introduced into the national system of statistical accounting of the manufacturability level of the exported goods.

The inclusion of new products in the List of high-tech products of the Republic of Belarus will enable export-oriented and import-substituting high-tech industries and expand the output of the corresponding products with high added value.
