Alexander Shumilin: scientists of Belarus and Russia are developing 32 new scientific and technical programs of the Union state
2020 Return back
Currently, scientists from Belarus and Russia are developing 32 draft concepts for new scientific and technical programs of the Union state, 6 of which can be adopted at the next meetings of the Council of Ministers of the Union state. This was announced today at the seventh meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission of the Council of Republic of National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on interregional cooperation, Chairman of the State Committee on science and technology of Belarus Alexander Shumilin. According to him, the programs "Safety-SG", "geological exploration and nature management", "Additivity", "Stem cells – 2", "Accelerator-SPR" and "Overcoming"are in a high degree of readiness. "Thanks to the activity of scientists and Industrialists of our countries, a number of new programs of the Union state in the field of high technologies are already being developed. This includes the development and introduction into production of mobile fiber-optic locators, sensor systems for preventing natural and man - made disasters, systems for designing and manufacturing microchips, technologies for highly productive agriculture and food industry focused on improving the health of citizens, as well as developments in the field of additive technologies and the production of modern industrial and household 3D printers," said Alexander Shumilin.
He also noted that the SCST and the Ministry of education and science of Russia are working together to reduce the time frame for approving projects of Union programs. One of the ways to simplify this procedure may be to give the Commission for the formation of a unified scientific and technological space of the Union state the authority to approve draft program concepts and make decisions on the development of new programs. "This will avoid the double passage of the full cycle of program approval: first at the level of development of the draft program concept, then at the level of development of the draft program," the Chairman of the SCST explained.
During the construction of the Union state, 57 joint scientific and technical programs were implemented. In 2020, 7 scientific and technical programs of the Union state are being implemented. One of them - "Technology-SG" - is being completed this year. As part of this program, a prototype of the world's unique electrostatic jet Microdrive with a variable thrust vector was developed and manufactured, which replaces up to six plasma engines currently used to adjust the orbit of satellites.
"There is a strong desire of Belarusian and Russian scientists to work together. Our priorities in science, technology and innovation are clearly aligned, which results in the creation of new samples of high-tech innovative products. This is a certain guarantee of the success of our joint programs and a real opportunity to reach the international level, to ensure the competitiveness of innovative developments and the results of research and fundamental research," Alexander Shumilin said.
