Belarus and India discussed scientific, technical and innovative cooperation prospects

Belarus and India plan to intensify scientific, technical and innovative cooperation in communication and information technologies, medicine and pharmacy, energy, agricultural technologies, and environmental protection. This idea was the main during videoconference meeting of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Indian Commission on Cooperation in Science and Technology. The parties also discussed the work of the Joint Technology Demonstration Center on the basis of the International Center for Advanced Research in Powder Metallurgy and New Materials in Hyderabad and reviewed the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Indian National Academy of Sciences.

The meeting resulted in approving the Executive Program of the Belarusian-Indian scientific and technical cooperation for 2020-2022, and the parties agreed to hold the next contest of Belarusian-Indian scientific and technical projects in May 2021.

The Belarusian-Indian scientific and technical cooperation is carried out in accordance with the agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Government of India on cooperation in the field of science and technology from 1993.
