Within the framework of the state scientific and technical programs (SSTP) for 2021-2025, it is planned to create more than 2 thousand innovations, including more than 140 items of machinery and equipment, 150 technological processes and about 50 new materials and substances. This was announced today at a meeting of the Board of the State Committee for science and technology of the Republic of Belarus by the Chairman of the SCST Alexander Shumilin. According to him, the planned amount of SSTP funding will exceed 500 million rubles. According to the tasks of the programs, it is planned to produce products for at least 3.5 billion rubles, including about 20% of the total volume of output – to export. "Products created within the framework of state scientific and technical programs are import-substituting and export - oriented, which will contribute to the development of the economy and increase its export potential," Alexander Shumilin stressed. He also noted that the draft resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus "On lists of state and regional scientific and technical programs for 2021-2025" includes 14 state scientific and technical programs and 1 regional scientific and technical program for six priority areas of scientific, scientific and technical and innovative activities, which were approved by decree No. 156 of may 7, 2020.

Over the past period (2016 – the first half of 2020), within the framework of state scientific and technical programs, 25 new production facilities were created at existing enterprises using new technologies and 33 existing production facilities were modernized. The efficiency coefficient of scientific and technical programs was 8.9.
