Alexander Shumilin held monitoring of SPID projects in Brest region

Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, visited a number of enterprises of the Brest Region within the monitoring the projects of the State Program for Innovative Development for 2016-2020.

The projects on the production of glass tubes for energy-efficient fluorescent lamps and the organization of the production of modern pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, precision chrome plated rods and pipes are at the center of his attention.

About 1.6 million rubles will be allocated for financing the first project. It will be financed at the expense of innovative funds formed in accordance with the legislation and allocated to the Belarusian Innovative Foundation.

An innovative project on the creation of the production of energy-efficient fluorescent lamps T8 with a capacity of 18 and 36 watts was discussed at the JSC "Brest Electric Lamp Factory".

Currently, a new production and a production of new improved products, such as fluorescent T8 lamps with a narrow-band three-component phosphor, is organized there. The productivity by a flow line is 2,000 pieces / hour. This project solves a problem of energy saving of the lighting primarily in the public sector (schools, educational and design institutes, hospitals and the industrial sector), where more stringent lighting requirements are imposed.

The second project is interesting for the creation of a production of fundamentally new products for Belarus, such as hydraulic cylinders, including "intelligent" hydraulic cylinders with built-in feedback sensors.

It is planned to widely use cyberphysical systems, including the intelligent technological equipment, storage systems and means of production, integrated automation production systems with a rigid centralization of control and monitoring processes within this project. It is also expected to introduce modern ERP and PDM systems and the technologies based on flexible reconfigurable systems.

Alexander Shumilin also discussed the implementation of the project on the creation of an innovative production of organic mineral fertilizers based on the waste of the biogas plant of the SHC "Zapadny", where it is expected to introduce new technologies for our country to utilize biogas plant waste. The proposed project will also improve the environmental situation in the vicinity of Brest and settlements due to the deep biological processing of waste.

Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the SCST, held a personal reception of citizens in Kobrin, where the prospects for the implementation of an import substitution project for the organization of mycelium production in the Kobrinsky area were considered (at present, there is no production of a special mushroom substrate in the Republic) during the visit to the Brest region.

For these purposes, a land near the town of Kobrin of the area of 76 hectares is allocated to the investors. There they will build a complex to grow mycelia. The volume of the declared investments will make more than 18 million euros, and the number of new jobs will be about 60.

In addition, Alexander Shumilin took part in the work of the Business Contacts Exchange "Prospective Scientific and Technical Developments and Innovative Development of Regions" (organized by the State Committee on Science and Technology together with the Brest Regional Executive Committee). More than 150 protocols on intentions of cooperation and contracts to the amount of more than 300,000 rubles were signed during the holding of the exchanges of contacts. In general, over 350 high-tech developments were presented during the business contacts exchanges.

‘The main objective of the Business Contacts Exchange is to promote the innovative development of the Brest region and to increase the efficiency of commercialization of the results of scientific and technical activities through the establishment of effective interaction and mutually beneficial economic ties between the scientific, educational and production structures of the region,’ Alexander Shumilin said.
