Belarusian and Serbian scientists will implement 10 joint scientific and technical projects in 2018-2019. This decision was made following the results of the eighth meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Serbian Commission for Scientific and Technical Cooperation chaired by Sergei Scherbakov, Vice Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, and Sasha Stoyanovich, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. The projects have been selected in the priority areas of bilateral cooperation (nanomaterials, laser technologies, optoelectronics, physics and mathematics, agriculture, energy saving technologies, biotechnology, ecology and environmental protection, as well as chemical technologies).
The issues of expansion and intensification of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation between the countries were discussed during the event. As a result of the meeting, the parties signed a protocol and an executive program of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation for 2018 - 2019.
The visit of the Serbian delegation to Minsk is held from December 19 to December 20, 2017. The agenda of the visit provides for visits to educational institutions and organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
